The Diamond Touch, flagship of the Taiwanese company HTC, has been chosen “European Smartphone 2008-2009” by members of EIS, the European Association of Image and Sound.

The original concept behind the Diamond Touch innovation was to establish a new standard to integratite highly advanced mobile services on a small and attractive device. The HTC Touch Diamond is aimed at consumers who demand high performance of a smartphone and require a modern and innovative design.

The phone has 2.8-inch touch screen inside a steel casing with rounded edges. The most prominent feature is the user interface TouchFLO 3D, which allows moving contacts, browse the Web or run multimedia content using your finger on the screen.

It also has high-speed Internet connectivity, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, built-in GPS and 4 GB of internal storage, among many other features.
